چکیده
We study the fluctuation-mediated interactions between two atoms in presence of an aplanatic lens, demonstrating enhancement their resonant dipole-dipole interaction. derive field propagation linear optical system terms electromagnetic Green's tensor for lens. The collective internal atomic dynamics is analyzed via a Lindblad master equation, which allows one to characterize dispersive and dissipative atoms. thus demonstrate that coupling can be enhanced focal plane lens-modified energy exchange create mutual trapping potential. Our work opens new avenues expanding macroscopic scales experimental platforms them.

Dipole-dipole interactions in nanoparticle superlattices.
Nanoparticles often self-assemble into hexagonal-close-packed (hcp) structures although it is predicted to be less stable than face-centered-cubic (fcc) packing in hard-sphere models. In addition to close-packed fcc and hcp superlattices, we observe formation of nonclose-packed simple-hexagonal (sh) superlattices of nearly spherical PbS, PbSe, and gamma-Fe2O3 nanocrystals. This surprisingly ric...
متن کاملDipole Interactions in Nanosystems
The dipole-dipole interaction influences nanoscopic matter by fixing the patterns of permanent, displacive, and induced dipole moments, subject to constraints of molecular size and other short range interactions. Prediction of these arrangements is a challenging problem. The eigenvector of maximum eigenvalue of the dipole-dipole interaction matrix can provide insights and sometimes a complete s...
متن کاملTailored electronic structure and optical properties of conjugated systems through aggregates and dipole-dipole interactions.
A series of PPVO (p-phenylene vinylene oligomer) derivatives with functional groups of varying electronegativity were synthesized via the Horner-Wadsworth-Emmons reaction. Subtle changes in the end group functionality significantly impact the molecular electronic and optical properties of the PPVOs, resulting in broadly tunable and efficient UV absorption and photoluminescence spectra. Of parti...
متن کاملCollapse of Bose-Einstein condensates with dipole-dipole interactions
Bose-Einstein condensation of dilute trapped atomic gases @1,2# essentially depends on the interparticle interactions. In most experiments so far the dominated interactions have been short-range van der Waals forces which are characterized by the s-wave scattering length a. Spatially homogeneous condensates with positive scattering length ~repulsive interaction! are stable while condensates wit...
